Description
NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Growth Team Coordinator to support our business development functions. This role will work closely with Growth Team leadership to help organize opportunity information, coordinate schedules and data calls, support proposal development activities, and maintain reusable business development content. The Growth Team Coordinator will help keep the team organized across the opportunity lifecycle, from early market research and capture planning through proposal development and submission. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating information, supporting cross-functional teams, improving processes, and helping turn technical and business inputs into organized, high-quality work products.
Successful candidates will have experience supporting business coordination, project facilitation, document organization, and team communications. Experience with Government contractors, DoD business development, IT services opportunities, or proposal support activities is highly desired. This role may also be a strong fit for an early-career professional with a technical background in IT, network engineering, cybersecurity, systems administration, IT Audit or technical operations who is interested in transitioning into business development or growth team support. The ideal candidate should be comfortable learning how technical solutions, customer requirements, and business opportunities come together in a Government contracting environment.
The Growth Team Coordinator will use Microsoft Office 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, and Project, to help organize information, maintain schedules, support collaboration, and improve access to reusable business development materials. Experience organizing documentation using metadata, structured folders, templates, or knowledge management practices is beneficial. This role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Support Growth Team leadership with coordination across business development, capture, and proposal activities.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and tracking opportunity-related schedules, deliverables, and action items.
  • Coordinate meetings, communications, and follow-up across Growth Team leadership, technical teams, operations, subcontractors, and business partners.
  • Support capture and proposal activities, including opportunity research, data calls, compliance matrices, content outlines, SME input collection, writing/editing coordination, and review cycles.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting notes, and documentation to support Growth Team activities.
  • Support responses to market surveys, RFIs, pre-solicitations, solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, and related requests.
  • Maintain SharePoint libraries, templates, reusable content, and opportunity documentation using structured folders, metadata, naming conventions, and knowledge management practices.
  • Contribute to procedures, templates, work instructions, and process improvements that improve team efficiency and information reuse.

Requirements
Desired/Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, English, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field desired; equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business coordination, project coordination, business development support, proposal support, or related work.
  • Experience supporting Government contractors, IT services opportunities, business development, capture, or proposal activities is highly desired.
  • Technical familiarity with IT services, network operations, cybersecurity, systems engineering, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure is highly desired, especially for candidates interested in applying technical knowledge to business development, capture, and proposal support.
  • Familiarity with Government procurement tools and opportunity websites such as Deltek GovWin, SAM.gov, contract vehicle portals, procurement notices, and industry forecasts is desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills, including styles, tables, page formatting, and table of contents generation.
  • Experience organizing documentation using SharePoint libraries, metadata, templates, naming conventions, or other knowledge management practices is desired.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, support deadline-driven activities, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High degree of integrity when handling sensitive, proprietary, or business-sensitive information.
  • Ability to think critically, organize complex information, and apply a business analysis mindset.
