IF A PERFORMANCE EXAM IS HELD: This examination will be scheduled for July 11, 2026. Please note that this examination date is subject to change. IF A TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE EVALUATION IS HELD: Applicants will be evaluated and scored based upon their training and experience credentials.

Applicants will not be asked to appear to take a scheduled examination. Scores in the Training and Experience Evaluation will be based on documentation of education and experience provided by the candidate. Level of Education Required High School/GED Minimum Acceptable Training and Experience ANTICIPATED ELIGIBILITY Candidates who meet all eligibility requirements within 6 months of the application deadline will be admitted to this examination. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list but may not be hired or promoted until all requirements have been satisfied. 1.

CIVIL SERVICE STATUS: Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the Department of Aviation with a performance rating of Satisfactory or higher. AND EARTHMOVING, FLUSHER, SPECIAL PURPOSE, TANDEM AXLE, TRANSPORTATION, AND WRECKER SPECIALTIES 2. EXPERIENCE: One year of Equipment Operator 1 experience.

OR One year of experience operating a single chassis truck or moderately heavy automotive equipment. NOTE: Possession of the Airport Pavement and Grounds Driving Training Certificate demonstrating successful completion of the Philadelphia Airport's equipment operation training program may be substituted for six months of the experience required. Possession of a valid Class A or B - Commercial Drivers License (CDL) issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.

You must submit a copy of your valid Class A or B-CDL to be approved. PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required of a position in this class. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with appropriate endorsements in air brakes and/or hazardous materials as required by assignment prior to the scheduled examination and during tenure of employment in the class.

LICENSES REQUIREMENTS Candidates MUST submit a copy of their Commercial Drivers License.
