Job Overview
Looking to take your sales career to the next level? Gourmet Foods International is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Food Service Sales Manager to join our team serving the NY Metro area and Northeast Corridor.
In this role, you will manage and grow an assigned sales territory by building strong relationships with restaurants, hotels, caterers, and other foodservice customers. You'll represent GFI's premium portfolio of artisan and specialty food products while delivering exceptional customer service and driving profitable sales growth.

COMPENSATION: Market-competitive base salary plus commission, bonuses, sales incentives, and performance rewards.
What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:
  • Build and maintain relationships with chefs, cheesemongers, culinarians, restaurants, hotels, caterers, and specialty food retailers
  • Present and sell Gourmet Foods International's portfolio of artisan, specialty, and gourmet food products
  • Manage an established customer base while actively prospecting and developing new business opportunities
  • Schedule and conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, tastings, and sales presentations
  • Identify customer needs and recommend products and solutions that support their business
  • Resolve customer concerns while providing exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with artisan manufacturers to identify new and innovative specialty products
  • Promote company programs, online ordering platforms, promotions, and sales initiatives
  • Participate in trade shows, culinary events, food expos, product tastings, and customer appreciation events
  • Manage your sales territory, schedule, pipeline, and sales activities to achieve and exceed performance goals
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and account information

Things you need to be able to do:
  • 2-5 years of foodservice, specialty food, hospitality, or outside sales experience
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned sales territory
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including customer events and occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require
