Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Technical Solutions Engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, will accept 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Technical Solutions Engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires 5 years of experience in the following: Reading and debugging code in general-purpose languages such as Java, C , Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript; Troubleshooting technical issues in hardware, software, and applications using root cause analysis; Debugging complex workloads across large-scale, multi-node environments; Public cloud services and infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure; and Triaging technical issues to advocate for customer needs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $218,000 15% bonus target equity benefits determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues for customers on Google Cloud Platform, using debugging, system administration, and data analysis to determine root causes and implement effective resolutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for customers and internal teams, advising on technical best practices and collaborating to resolve deployment obstacles and enhance Google Cloud products.
  • Drive product and process improvements by identifying trends, documenting issues, resolving bugs at the code level, and enhancing self-service tools to empower users.
  • Deliver continuous global support by working within a 24x7 team model, which may include non-standard hours, shifts, and weekends to ensure constant customer coverage.Contribute to large-scale strategic projects by helping define scope, driving execution of project plans, and owning the delivery of key components across functions.
  • Develop new investigation tools and learn new coding languages to increase diagnostic productivity and contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal troubleshooting capabilities.
