Job description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Manhattan WMS Engineer to lead the design, implementation, integration, and support of enterprise Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions. This is a technical leadership role that combines team management with hands-on implementation, focusing on Manhattan WMS, warehouse automation, and enterprise integrations.

This position requires approximately 50% travel within the United States (travel expenses reimbursed).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage WMS implementation projects while providing technical guidance to engineering teams.
  • Oversee the design, configuration, and optimization of Manhattan WMS (WMOS/MAWM) solutions.
  • Develop and configure warehouse workflows to support business and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrations.
  • Design and support integrations between ERP systems and Manhattan WMS using the Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Work with modern APIs and cloud technologies to enable scalable warehouse solutions.
  • Coordinate project activities, technical planning, and delivery while ensuring quality and timely execution.
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements for warehouse applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end warehouse solutions.
  • Mentor team members and promote best practices for WMS development, integration, and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Manhattan WMS (WMOS/MAWM) solutions.
  • Strong experience developing warehouse workflows and configuring Manhattan WMS applications.
  • Experience implementing Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) solutions.
  • Experience integrating ERP/Host systems with Manhattan WMS using Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, system integrations, and modern application architectures.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong leadership, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating WMS with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and ShipExec.
