Minimum qualifications:

The Google Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with the current financial regulations. Comprised of multitaskers, this team balances Google's legal and compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. You develop efficient compliance systems and work with teams to implement these across the organization. You are thorough in all you do and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the processing of alerts, investigations, and reporting related to economic sanctions regulations, contributing to Google's sanctions compliance program.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve system-generated sanctions alerts, including name screening, transaction monitoring, and country-based restrictions, to identify potential matches.
  • Conduct investigations of potential sanctions matches, gather information and documentation from internal and external sources.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on sanctions operations, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to junior analysts and other stakeholders across the organization.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and maintenance of sanctions operations policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with evolving global regulations.
  • Review changes in global sanctions laws, regulations, and enforcement trends issued by authorities (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN), and assess potential impact on Google's operations.
