What are the typical working conditions and schedule for someone in a Google Street View field role?

Google Street View field roles usually involve traveling to designated locations, often covering extensive driving areas each day to capture high-quality, street-level images. Work is typically independent, with flexible schedules based on assigned routes and deadlines, although occasional overtime or weekend work may be required. You may spend long hours on the road, adapting to different weather conditions, local traffic laws, and varying terrain. This position often requires close coordination with remote project managers and occasional technical troubleshooting, making strong self-management and communication skills important for day-to-day success.

How do you get a job doing Google Street View?

To work on Google Street View, candidates typically need experience in photography, mapping, or GIS, along with strong technical skills and familiarity with camera equipment. Can I get paid for Google Maps reviews?

Google Street View professionals and contributors do not get paid for reviews or photo contributions on Google Maps. While some companies may hire individuals to create content or verify locations, direct payment for reviews is against Google's policies and can lead to account suspension.

Job description

Teleo, a Havoc company, is a robotics company that transforms construction heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, excavators, and trucks, into autonomous robots for commercial and defense applications. Our technology enables a single operator to supervise and control multiple machines simultaneously, delivering significant productivity gains while improving operator safety and comfort.

Teleo was founded by a team of experienced technology leaders who previously led the development of Lyft's Self-Driving Car program and Google Street View. Teleo recently announced its merger with Havoc AI, a fast-growing defense technology company developing coordinated fleets of autonomous maritime vessels.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team building technology with real-world impact. You will work on cutting-edge 100,000-pound autonomous robots and engineer complex systems at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and AI.

About the Role

Teleo is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to serve as the integration point across our product development organization. In this role, you will drive and coordinate execution across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product introduction (NPI), ensuring that complex cross-functional programs progress toward clearly defined product readiness milestones.

Joining Teleo means helping build some of the world's largest autonomous robots and pushing the boundaries of Physical AI.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a system-level understanding of Teleo's products, coordinating engineering roadmaps, customer feedback, operational priorities, and technical dependencies to drive informed cross-functional execution.

  • Coordinate execution across software, firmware, hardware, autonomy, manufacturing, supply chain, and NPI, ensuring teams remain aligned on shared milestones and release objectives.

  • Maintain integrated program plans, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively identify schedule and execution risks.

  • Coordinate product readiness reviews across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and Operations to ensure releases are ready for production and deployment.

  • Partner with engineering managers and technical leads to track progress, resolve cross-functional blockers, and maintain predictable execution across multiple concurrent programs.

  • Develop clear dashboards and reporting that provide leadership with visibility into program status, risks, dependencies, and readiness.

  • Continuously improve planning, communication, and program management practices as Teleo scales.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience delivering complex multidisciplinary products from concept through production.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating hardware, embedded software, manufacturing, supply chain, and NPI activities through successful product releases.

  • Strong understanding of engineering development processes, including verification & validation (V&V), engineering change management (ECN/ECO), manufacturing readiness, release management, and product lifecycle management.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Experience developing program plans, managing dependencies, and communicating program status to both technical teams and executive leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and operate program management infrastructure using tools such as Jira, Linear, Asana, Confluence, Smartsheet, Airtable, Microsoft Project, or equivalent, including milestone tracking, dependency management, dashboards, and executive reporting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

  • Prior experience as a software, firmware, electrical, mechanical, robotics, or systems engineer.

  • 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, industrial automation, or other complex cyber-physical systems.

  • Experience defining technical roadmaps spanning hardware, software, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations with a strong focus on product readiness.

  • Familiarity with safety-critical product development processes and standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, MIL-STD, DO-178, or comparable frameworks.

  • Experience working with NPI, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to introduce new product variants, improve production readiness, and support scaling deployments.

  • Experience partnering with Operations teams to ensure engineering readiness and successful handoff of products into the field.

$180,000 - $220,000 a year
