Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience with cloud compute platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Google Cloud Functions).
- Experience working with Linux Kernels internals.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with network and security protocols in operating systems (e.g., Unix, Linux).
- Experience in device driver development, with a focus on GPU drivers.
- Experience working on operating system kernels, including CPU scheduling, memory management, or resource allocation.
- Experience with container runtimes and scheduling engines (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, containerd).
- Experience in performance optimization, tuning, or debugging of distributed systems or cloud-based applications.
- Experience working with network stacks, network protocols, or network device drivers.

Having established itself as Google's premier internal container defense technology, gVisor is entering its next phase: scaling advanced capabilities for agentic workloads in alignment with Google Cloud strategy. In this role, advocate by a team, our key priorities include sandboxing at scale, securing internal Google workloads, accelerating AI inference performance, and defining the standard runtime defense for enterprise AI agents.
