Software Engineer
The Opportunity:
Booz Allen is looking for a Software Engineer who is driven by purpose and ready to build software that directly supports mission-critical operations across the space domain. In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance the software developed for ground systems and the real-time capabilities that space missions rely on.
You'll take ownership of complex engineering challenges from modernizing legacy components to architecting new mission-focused capabilities that improve performance, resilience, and operational speed. Your work will shape how data is processed, how systems communicate, and how mission teams execute with precision.

You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in software development with programming languages such as Java, Python, Rust, or GO
  • Experience transitioning legacy applications to a modernized microservice-based architecture
  • Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
  • Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience operating within an Agile environment
  • Experience with Linux-based systems, containers, and orchestration tools, including Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
  • Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
  • Experience working within a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) such as AWS, Azure, or Google
  • Experience with C#, C, C++, JavaScript, React, or Node.js
  • Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
