Job description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Ready to bring your A-game to the fast-paced world of shipping and logistics? Do you have the organizational skills of a seasoned planner and the patience of a saint (or at least, a well-organized warehouse elf)? If so, we need you as our Shipping Wizard! You'll help our Shipping Lead keep things running smoother than the bubble wrap on our orders. Youโ€™ll juggle shipments, coordinate deliveries, and become besties with Google Sheets and our logistics software. Oh, and did we mention youโ€™ll be responsible for getting our goods to customers faster than a ninja in a lightning storm? (Okay, maybe not that fast, but you get the idea.)

The Big Stuff (aka The Major Responsibilities):
  • Coordinate shipments like a pro: You'll be the mastermind behind moving equipment and bulk goods. Whether itโ€™s sending stuff to the moon or just down the street, youโ€™ll make sure everything is shipped on time and in perfect condition.
  • Google Sheets = Your New Best Friend: Use your mad skills to track shipments, update inventory, and basically make Google Sheets fall in love with you (or at least become your trusty sidekick).
  • Inventory Check!: Youโ€™ll make sure that everything weโ€™re shipping is good to goโ€”no last-minute surprises here.
  • Talk to Everyone: Youโ€™ll be chatting with Customer Service, Carriers, and 3rd Party Logistics partners more than you talk to your friends. But hey, youโ€™re making shipping magic happen, so itโ€™s all worth it!
  • Be a Shipping Guru: Youโ€™ll make status reports and suggest ways we can deliver on-time and reduce costs. Like a shipping detective, you'll find where things can be improved, and then become the superhero that makes it better.
The Little Things (aka Minor Duties):
  • Check Past Orders: Nothing gets past you. Youโ€™ll review old orders and make sure nothingโ€™s left behindโ€”because we donโ€™t do "oops" here.
  • Spreadsheet Savvy: Youโ€™ll keep our spreadsheets organized. No errors on your watch.
  • Improve & Repeat: Youโ€™ll analyze performance and come up with ways to streamline our logistics. Youโ€™re always thinking, "How can we make this faster and more awesome?"
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or administrative support preferred.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and other spreadsheet applications.
  • Experience with shipping, inventory, or ERP software preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing shipments and maintaining records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and recommend process improvements.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to interpret shipping documents, reports, and inventory records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and occasionally walking, standing, or lifting up to 25-50 pounds as needed.
  • Experience coordinating LTL, FTL, parcel shipments, or working with third-party logistics providers is a plus.
Key Competencies:
  • Organization and Planning
  • Attention to Detail
  • Communication
  • Problem Solving
  • Customer Service
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Adaptability
  • Time Management
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset
  • Data Entry Accuracy
