The ideal candidate combines strong technical cloud expertise with customer-facing communication skills and the ability to rapidly design and validate solutions that align with operational and mission needs. You will partner closely with business development, engineering, and customer stakeholders to achieve the "technical win" throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in cloud architecture, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, technical solution validation, and customer enablement. Experience supporting classified or high-side cloud environments is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical engagements with prospective and existing customers to understand mission requirements, operational constraints, and technical objectives
  • Own technical success throughout the customer lifecycle including solution validation, architecture development, demonstrations, and implementation support
  • Design and present scalable cloud architectures supporting customer workloads across AWS, Azure, Google, and/or OCI Cloud environments
  • Develop architecture diagrams, technical presentations, whitepapers, and solution documentation for customer engagements and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers by translating complex technical concepts into mission and business value
  • Support technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, and hands-on solution validation efforts to achieve the "technical win"
  • Partner with engineering team to communicate customer requirements and influence product direction
  • Provide guidance on cloud modernization, migration strategies, cloud-native architectures, automation, and security best practices
  • Support customer enablement activities including workshops, technical training, onboarding, and operational transition support
  • Collaborate with program leadership, capture teams, and business development during proposal and pre-sales activities
  • Maintain awareness of emerging cloud technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and evolving government cloud requirements

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Must have a BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical field
  • Must have 7+ years of relevant experience in Sales Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical customer-facing roles
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud architectures within AWS, Azure, Google, or OCI Cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud architectures, and modern infrastructure patterns
  • Experience creating architecture diagrams, technical solution documentation, and customer-facing presentations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting technical evaluations, demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, or customer enablement engagements
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Understanding of networking, identity and access management, security architectures, and cloud governance concepts

Desired:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional)
  • Additional cloud certifications within Azure or Google Cloud platforms
  • Experience supporting classified, high-side, or air-gapped cloud environments
  • Current Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience with cloud migration, workload modernization, and AI-enabled cloud solutions
