Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting in logistics or supply chain.
  • 10 years of experience working in domestic and international environments.
  • 7 years of experience managing operations and leading cross-regional teams.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience using data analysis to drive decision making.
  • 10 years of experience in managing vendor and outsourced providers.
  • 10 years of experience in scaled and supplier operations and project management.
  • Experience with data center logistics.
  • Knowledge of SQL, analytics and Operations Six Sigma certification (or other relevant operations coursework).

In this role, you will be the leader of how Google optimizes daily logistics processes while incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for driving continuous process improvement recommendations, managing the implementation of changes within operations, standardizing user documentation, creating processes that motivate action, and interacting with all partner teams. You will initiate and oversee operational improvement efforts for NASA Google Cloud Logistics, analyze operational impacts to inform improvements, work with key stakeholders, motivate innovation within the operational teams, and create presentations or documents for the leadership team highlighting operational performance and improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end daily logistics operations management, managing Third-Party Logistics (3PL) vendor operating warehouse and data centers in assigned locations. Manage performance to the aligned Service Level Agreements (SLAs) consistently and effectively ensuring business continuity.
  • Manage and monitor metrics for key performance indicators (KPIs), vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes or improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to reduce end-to-end delivery cycle times. Ensure alignment of priorities and joint opportunities to scale the business efficiently, delivering on joint performance goals.
  • Drive continuous opportunity initiatives to address obstacles for both forward and reverse material flows into and out of data centers/warehouses.
  • Own initiatives in a changing environment with many interdependencies. Own quarterly/annual budgeting, invoice control, and capital improvement projects within your locations.
