Job description

The Senior Digital Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in enhancing our product visibility and maximizing our online sales potential in the Fish/Marine Categories. With a blend of creative vision and data-driven insight, this role will refine the online customer journey, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience that aligns with our brand's identity and goals.
This is an onsite role, based at our office in Springfield, Missouri.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead the development and execution of innovative merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement across all online platforms.
  • Partner with buying, planning, and marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment of product assortments with inventory management, promotional activities, and marketing calendar.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data from various analytics platforms to understand customer behavior, optimize product placement, and increase conversion rates.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising of product categories, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and intuitive user experience.
  • Ensure product information, descriptions, and multimedia content are accurate, compelling, and optimized for SEO & other digital marketing channels.
  • Manage the daily maintenance of the online product catalog, including product launches, listing updates, and pricing adjustments.
  • Work in unison with cross-functional teams to align online promotions, marketing campaigns, and content with the overarching brand strategy, ensuring a consistent brand voice and message.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging digital technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Train, mentor and develop new Outfitters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in digital merchandising, with a proven track record of success in an e-commerce environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Expertise in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), e-commerce platforms, and SEO best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with content management systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
