Job description

We’re looking for a Design Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is passionate about bringing elevated, consistent, and thoughtfully designed clinic spaces to life across our growing footprint.

This role involves a mix of office work and on-site clinic setup, including occasional lifting, standing, and travel as needed.

About the Role

The Design Specialist plays a key role in shaping the look, feel, and functionality of Milan’s clinics nationwide. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive interior design plans, ensuring every location meets Milan’s high standards for aesthetics, efficiency, and compliance.

From concept to completion, you’ll manage multiple projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and help bring new clinics to life while maintaining brand consistency across all locations.

This role requires travel up to 50% to support new clinic openings and on-site project execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Design & Planning
    • Create detailed clinic design concepts, including space planning, décor, and finish selections
    • Develop renderings, floor plans, and specifications to communicate design intent
    • Review and refine construction documents and schematic designs
  • Project Management
    • Oversee projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
    • Manage multiple active projects simultaneously
    • Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure quality and compliance
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery
  • Update and manage master specification documents
  • Process & Compliance
    • Develop SOPs and improve internal processes to support clinic openings
    • Ensure compliance with IBC and ADA requirements
    • Partner with Expansion and cross-functional teams to streamline operations
  • Clinic Launch Support
    • Travel to new clinic locations to oversee setup and staging
    • Coordinate vendors, movers, and final construction details
    • Ensure clinics are fully operational for opening day
  • Facilities & Ticket Management
    • Manage décor and cosmetic facility requests through ticketing systems
    • Track progress, coordinate vendors, and ensure timely completion
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and Google Suite
  • Experience with space planning, renderings, and material sourcing
  • Knowledge of IBC and ADA compliance standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong creative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for clinic setups
