Come join the growing team at Conrad’s Seafood Restaurant in Abingdon!

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Assistant Manager to oversee front-of-house operations and support our in-house events and promotions.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can confidently run a shift, develop employees, maintain service standards, and create a positive experience for our guests. The right candidate will also be organized, creative, and comfortable using technology to help promote events such as bingo, trivia, themed nights, and other activities designed to bring guests into the restaurant.

Location: Abingdon, Maryland

Key ResponsibilitiesFloor Leadership
  • Lead front-of-house operations during assigned shifts.

  • Maintain a visible presence in the dining room through table touching and actively supporting the team.

  • Supervise servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, and bussers.

  • Train and coach employees on Core Values and job responsibilities.

  • Hold staff accountable for attendance, appearance, cleanliness, teamwork, and performance.

  • Interact with guests and address concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Monitor table flow, ticket times, cleanliness, and overall service.

  • Coordinate communication between the front-of-house and kitchen teams.

  • Assist with opening, closing, cash handling, and Toast POS procedures.

Events and Promotions
  • Coordinate in-house events such as bingo, trivia, themed nights, and other guest promotions.

  • Create flyers and promotional materials using Canva.

  • Develop creative event ideas that encourage guests to visit the restaurant.

  • Help promote upcoming events through in-store marketing.

Scheduling and Administrative Support
  • Create employee schedules based on staffing and business needs.

  • Complete assigned administrative tasks and projects accurately and on time.

  • Maintain organized schedules, documents, flyers, and event information.

Skills and Qualifications
  • At least two years of restaurant management experience is required.

  • Previous serving and bartending experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant operations.
