Job Description
BryceTech is seeking a Senior Data & Enterprise Architect to support the Capability Program Executive for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CPE CBRND) and the Biosurveillance Information Platform (BIP).
This position will play a critical role in designing the enterprise architecture that enables real-time integration of biological threat information across DoD, interagency, intelligence, and public health systems. Working directly with the Assistant Program Manager (APM), the successful candidate will transform identified capability needs into actionable architectural products, data integration strategies, and technical guidance that software development teams can immediately execute.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud-based data platforms, system integration, and defense information systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain DoDAF v2.0 and UAF architecture products supporting the Biosurveillance Information Platform
  • Map operational, systems, and technical architecture views that define how new data sources integrate into the platform
  • Design end-to-end data ingestion pipelines and information flows from DoD, intelligence, federal, commercial, and open-source data providers
  • Define enterprise data architecture standards, interface specifications, and technical guidance for external software development vendors
  • Establish scalable integration strategies that support future onboarding of additional data sources without creating new data silos
  • Design logical and physical data models supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, data scientists, cybersecurity specialists, and government stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment across the program
  • Support cloud-native architecture utilizing Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform services
  • Develop enterprise data governance standards supporting interoperability, metadata management, and information quality
  • Ensure architectural solutions align with DoD cybersecurity requirements, Zero Trust principles, and applicable compliance frameworks
  • Support acquisition planning, technical reviews, design reviews, and vendor oversight activities
  • Provide architectural leadership supporting advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning initiatives through scalable data design

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, or related technical field
  • 12+ years of experience supporting enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or enterprise information systems
  • Extensive experience developing DoDAF v2.0 architecture products within DoD acquisition programs
  • Demonstrated experience designing enterprise data architectures supporting complex, multi-domain environments
  • Experience integrating heterogeneous data sources across government organizations
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL technologies, data warehousing, and enterprise data modeling
  • Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integration strategies
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparx EA, or similar
  • Experience supporting cloud environments including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of APIs, enterprise integration patterns, and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, Zero Trust architecture, and secure data management
  • Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
  • Active Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting CPE-CBRND or other DoD medical, health, or biosurveillance programs
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other big data technologies
  • Experience supporting AI/ML-enabled data platforms
  • Knowledge of health surveillance, intelligence, or public health information systems
  • Experience with Agile software development and DevSecOps environments
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline
