Job description

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Technology Director or other Technology Supervisor, exercises broad technical support directly at user level, including software development, integration, testing and distribution. Performs related duties as required. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Performs related duties as required.

Creates software interfaces for staff using Low-Code/No-Code development platforms. Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems, including integration, and connectivity issues. produces documentation and publishes problem resolution.

Tests software under controlled environments, with various network operating systems and a variety of hardware configurations. Develops and implements a systematic approach to large-scale software distribution, Microsoft Windows server AD, GPO, WDS, SCCM, Microsoft cloud, and Google cloud are the network tools that will be used to accomplish enterprise distribution. Assists in the training of professional staff on the use of deployed software.

Creates custom documentation and procedures for software use. Advises on the acquisition of software and hardware. Works collaboratively with Field Service force to insure that software resources are fully utilized, including hardware/network problem resolution when requested.

Assists in the advancement of video conferencing programs such as Net Meeting, Go to Meeting, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. Performs other tasks as directed by the Application Support Manager or other IT Technology Supervisor. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Thorough knowledge of the networking environment including MS windows-cloud platforms and Google workspace Cloud. Knowledge of MS Server 2012-2021. Thorough knowledge of systems life cycle relating to computer technology.

Thorough knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and ChromeOS. Thorough knowledge of all of the following Production tools: MS 365, Google Workspace, Net Vault, Azure, and Meraki Wi-Fi console. Thorough knowledge of current educational software in relation to Educational methodology and training techniques.

Good knowledge of software, software market, and related technologies. Knowledge of emerging technology fields. i.e., Wireless networks (Meraki), VOIP, video conferencing, and cable networking standards

Ability to deal effectively with others. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, in writing, and via media/communications technology. This will include writing Technical Manuals for professional staff.

Ability to follow directions. Ability to plan and coordinate the work of others and effectively manage multiple projects. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, liberal arts, or education or a closely related field and three (3) years of current experience in computer technology, software development or an equivalent combination of training and experience as described above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year of general experience described above must have involved Cloud-based systems development and support activities. Selection Process A written examination will not be administered for this position. Candidates will be evaluated based on their education, training, and experience as detailed in their application materials.
