Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible, in coordination with other sales managers, for the volume, profitability and customer service of the sales departments. Will utilize coaching and accountability with sales consultants.

Essential Functions:

  • MANAGER - Mentor, coach, and train all new Sales Consultants on all aspects of the role and new hire training.
  • PROCESS - Enforce sales process 100% of the time
  • GOALS - Determine individual sales goals for new Sales Consultants
  • TRAINING - Consistently train and develop the Sales Consultants on both a formal and informal basis.
  • ORGANIZATION - Record and track all units in the dealership inventory.
  • MERCHANDISING - Manage the new car inventory effectively and make sure the oldest units on the lot and the hard to sell models/ trims are in prominent positions on the dealership lot.
  • INVENTORY - Coordinate stock in of new units and make sure units are stocked into inventory control systems.
  • Work to create a sense of urgency among sales team to sell new and pre-owned units.
  • Desking of deals and assist Sales Consultants with presenting figures.

Requirements:

  • Excellence in customer service. A sincere appreciation of customers.
  • Strong ethical judgement.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • 3 years of experience in automotive sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted sales goals
  • Experience in motivating others to achieve goals.
  • Ability to become a product knowledge expert.
  • A team player focused on providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have a clean motor vehicle report. ย ย 
  • Extensive computer and telephone usage.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background screening.
  • Regular Attendance

Physical Demands:

  • Perform the physical duties of the job, including; standing for long periods of time, sitย for longย periods of time, walking the dealership lot and showroom floor
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk frequently
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
