Recruiter:
The Sales Intern is responsible for assisting in various stages of the sales process, including creating awareness of new offerings, generating leads, and retaining customers. This role will work closely with members of the area sales team.
  • Establishes and maintains clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments relative to customer specific successes and failures, new customer developments and other customer specific information. Works closely with local Branch Managers to assist in promoting sales and customer management through retail store locations within assigned geographical area.
  • Maintains a high level of internal customer service by assisting sales force and submitting professional quotes as needed.
  • Prepares and delivers effective sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers.
  • Qualifies and pursues sales leads from other parts of the Airgas organization.
  • Keeps local, regional and national Airgas management informed of territory performance, personal performance and market trends.
  • Maintains regular and on time submission of required sales and activity reports, including itineraries, call reports, "hot" prospect lists, account wins and losses and other information as required.
  • Attends and successfully completes all training modules provided by Airgas
  • Develops and maintains positive work habits that are conducive to sales and profitability growth.
  • Coordinates efforts with e-business team to setup customers on Airgas.com.
  • Maintains focus on safety in the workplace by complying with company safety procedures and practices. Assists customers in their compliance and training with industry safety standards relating to the products and services that Airgas delivers.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?
REQUIRED:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Business, Sales or similar discipline preferred.
  • Third or fourth year student preferred.
  • Prior outside sales/service experience preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to apply to customer sales analysis and cost comparisons.
  • Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and the ability to understand both internal and external customer needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Google suite applications include Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
  • Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis

Preferred:
  • Enrolled at Oklahoma State University
  • Pursuing a degree in National Strategic Selling Institute with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
