Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with mission critical construction safety program management.
  • Experience with data center or other mission critical construction.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Certified Safety Professional or other applicable EHS certifications.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working in construction with a focus on safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with safety metrics reporting.
  • Understanding of the project management process and basic construction contract structures.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across a defined area. You will work directly with Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) partners, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades and organizations, key integrators, fabricators, and commissioning agents to improve the EHS programs and performance on our projects. You will engage in pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors, update the project manual, and communicate EHS expectations. You will be involved in planning, risk mitigation and on-time delivery. You will be responsible for establishing and tracking a set of performance metrics, developing and implementing best practices including lessons learned regularly reporting out to stakeholders to help the organization scale efficiently.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and ownership of the EHS program for area construction oversight and data collection.
  • Ensure that contractors deliver on program safety performance expectations and contract requirements providing timely solutions to issues.
  • Support and guide construction project teams to protect people, environment and ensure compliance.
  • Drive exceptional culture that embraces a continuous learning approach and aligns with organizational strategies including goals and objectives.
  • Co-ordinate with the wider construction EHS team to ensure best practices are fully and completely implemented, progress reported, trends and data captured, analyzed and risks mitigated to an acceptable level ensuring that the operational capacity of a live data center is not compromised.
