Job description

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; National certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is also required. Previous work experience is required in the ambulatory care setting. Current licensure as a CRNP or as a Physician Assistant in the State of Alabama. Strong oral and written communication skills required, as well as leadership and organizational abilities. We require an individual who is self-directed and who will accept accountability for their actions.

Job Description

The Certified Physician Extender will work in collaboration with the physician to provide urology/urogynecology care services for patients in Jackson Hospital. This provider will perform inpatient and emergency room consultations and hospital rounding in collaboration with the urologists. They will coordinate care of the patients with the Urologist on-call. Hours are Monday-Friday with no call requirements.
