Job description

ShopperTrak RCT Corporation seeks Sr Network Engineer at its facility located at 433 W. Van Buren Street, 4th & 5th Floor South, Chicago, IL 60607.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Engage in the multi-functional SRE team working on Google Cloud environments. Expert in Networking, Load Balancing, and Google Kubernetes Engine. Contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and help to set standards. Advise on standard methodologies' architecture with respect to redundancy, security, and efficiency. Work on connectivity within and to the cloud, collaborating with parent company to work through connectivity challenges from offices. Help to manage the relationship with Google TAM. Serves as a main point of contact for advanced troubleshooting scenarios. Areas of responsibility include Google Workspace (Gsuite) as a superuser admin with the ability to perform any action; Google Cloud permissions; cloud networking, IPAM, NAT, VPNs, and connectivity between cloud environments; load balancing (Google and F5); network security including firewall rule management; Google Kubernetes Engine standards; Google Cloud automation (primarily with Terraform); DNS in Google Cloud and AWS; domain management in Network Solutions; the Sendgrid email system in GCP; and SOC2 compliance for areas of responsibility. Understand most GCP products to assist developers as needed and maintain the Google Technical Account Manager (TAM) relationship for premium support. Telecommuting 3 days per week permitted.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. Plus, Five (5) years of experience as a Network Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or related occupation involving networking/troubleshooting in Cloud Technologies in the retail or IoT industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing networking concepts such as routing, VPNs, firewalls, packet captures, DNS, and DHCP; (2) Use and management of Aviatrix or similar cloud networking technologies; (3) Certificates and load balancers operations, deployments, and observability; (4) Conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and technical due diligence to ensure system integrity and security; (5) Automating with Terraform for deployment of all systems and components; and (6) Deployment, management and observability of L3 firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, and Reverse Proxy servers.

RATE OF PAY: $153,317.00 - $185,256.00 per year
