This role in summary
Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Treasury Analyst (Retirement Plans and Controls). This is an onsite role at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI.
The Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury team by managing Pension and 401(k) administration, maintaining a strong treasury controls environment, supporting internal and external audits, and providing analytical and project support across Treasury Operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate reporting, maintaining process documentation, supporting treasury systems, and responding to ad hoc requests from Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include
  • Support the administration and oversight of global pension and 401(k) plans, including coordinating quarterly investment performance reporting, benchmark analysis, and related accounting and governance activities.
  • Execute and monitor Treasury SOX controls, maintain the Treasury controls dashboard, and prepare audit-ready documentation for Internal Audit and External Auditors.
  • Prepare recurring Treasury reports, dashboards, and management presentations, while supporting bank relationship reporting and system data validation.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Treasury Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, HR, Payroll, and external service providers to resolve issues and support business initiatives.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to automate manual processes, enhance Treasury systems, and improve operational reporting efficiency.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and financing activities as assigned by Treasury leadership.

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 2+ years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Audit

Preferred skills and experiences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization and with external partners
  • Solid understanding of SOX controls, internal audit processes, and financial compliance
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • System and technical proficiency: Advanced Excel, Treasury systems, and Google tools (Sheets & Slides)
