This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with People Inc. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.

Marketing Director Freelancer

People Inc. is seeking a Marketing Director Freelancer to support our Lifestyle Marketing team under the Food + Beverage vertical. In close partnership with the Lifestyle Sales teams, you will contribute to the pre-sale process and play a role in driving revenue growth with advertising partners.

 

Assignment Details: 

  • 40 hours a week

  • Start date: ASAP

  • End date: 3-6x months with potential to extend

  • Hourly Rate: $69.50 

  • Location: New York Office, hybrid (3 days required in the office a week)

 

Assignment Responsibilities:

  • Lead Proposal Process: Manage proactive and RFP responses, creating smart, strategic ideas for advertising partners Food + Beverage vertical

  • Meeting Decks/Presentations: Build persuasive, insight-driven meeting decks that effectively showcase People Inc. capabilities, ideas and value to clients

  • Storytelling: Bring ideas to life through well-written and visually-appealing proposals that represent our brands, capabilities, and ideas flawlessly

  • Cross-Department Communication: Partner closely with Editorial, Content Strategy, Research and Account Strategy to ensure proposals effectively communicate our unique value proposition

  • Sales Partnership: Develop strong relationships with the sales team to become experts on their business; provide support on client calls, as needed

 

Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field

  • 6-8 years relevant experience at a digital publisher, with a focus in pre-sales marketing; background in Food + Bev Category is a plus 

  • Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote, Powerpoint and Google Slides)

  • You’re an excellent communicator, who remains poised under pressure and can tailor messages for different audiences

  • You have an understanding of digital advertising landscape, products, and trends; understanding of print and/or programmatic marketplace is a plus
