Job description

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist at ESC Building

Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Twelve month (260) day work calendar


Immediate Supervisor: Director of Human Resources


Essential Functions: including, but not limited to, the following:

· Greet and assist visitors to the Educational Services Center.

· Answer phones and direct incoming calls to the appropriate person or place.

· Establish and maintain a file on each substitute and keep filing updated.

· Obtain criminal history background checks on all staff members, substitutes, and volunteers.

· Call and schedule substitutes in emergency situations.

· Take I.D. pictures for new employees.

· Assist with preparation of corporation documents (printing, stapling, hole punching, binding, collating, etc.) as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience that is Required: High-school diploma (minimum); previous secretarial experience preferred.


SPECIAL SKILLS:

Exhibit competency in the following areas: computer applications (Microsoft Word/Excel/Google, Skyward); ability to handle receptionist duties and correspondence; must have excellent bookkeeping skills and work well with people in the office and the school community; must be able to function as a team member and maintain confidentiality.


Before an individual can work with students or have his/her name submitted for approval to the Board of School Trustees, the candidate must complete the background check authorization (at a cost of $15.00--cash or check) and the background check must receive a "cleared" rating. Additionally, the individual must complete a federal I-9 form (providing appropriate identification documents); tax forms; a direct-deposit form (with an attached voided check); and, view training videos at the Educational Services Center (approximately one hour in length).
