It's used for applications that require strong consistency, high availability, and global distribution, such as those handling large volumes of data and demanding real-time operations
Our client's IT department is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) for a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on production support experience working with Spanner/MongoDB/Postgres/MySQL/Cassandra in complex enterprise environments. This role involves database design, operational management, performance tuning, and system-level support for high-availability, mission-critical applications. Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite in either Scottsdale, AZ or Dallas, TX (Richardson) Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extension Must Haves:
  • Cloud DBA with 7+ years' experience working as a Spanner, MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra Database Administrator, including experience at the design, operational, and system levels.
  • Support and optimize large-scale production database environments across Spanner/MongoDB/Postgres/MySQL/Cassandra
  • Prod Support experience - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex, high-volume production environments.
Experience with database administration including:
  • Experience with database administration including Performance tuning.
  • Design and implementation of Disaster Recovery to meet defined business objectives.
  • Implementation and support of high availability features including Clustering and Replication
  • Experience tuning complex database systems for production systems at the application, database, and system levels.
