Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in software development, with 5 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of software engineers.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: AI/ML, platform development, distributed systems, cybersecurity.
  • Experience leading global organizations.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience leading massive, mission-critical data or infrastructure migrations (specifically to BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses).
  • Experience driving AI-driven product features and autonomous system development.
  • Experience setting a long-term technical vision and strategy for a product area.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from individual contributors to senior executives.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling enterprise-grade security products to a global customer base.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the long-term technical vision and strategy for the Google SecOps engineering organization. Partner with product management, research, and other engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of impactful customer value through Google Cloud Security products and services.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a global engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
  • Partner closely with product management leadership to ensure seamless product integration and a roadmap that meets the evolving needs of the security market.
  • Directly oversee the architectural migration from F1/Spanner to BigQuery, ensuring zero-downtime and enhanced performance for our customers.
  • Lead the technical development of the Agentic SOC initiative, driving the integration of advanced AI and automation into the core analyst workflow.
