Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in audience development, digital analytics, SEO, or a related field within media, communications, or marketing.
  • 2 years of experience in SEO/GEO (generative engine), or AI search strategies.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience managing agency relationships, vendor agreements, and external roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with social media listening and analytics tools, including Sprinklr and Brandwatch.
  • Expertise in SQL and LookerStudio.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth platform research and synthesize complex digital trends into actionable briefs for leadership.
  • Ability to use AI tools for analysis and reporting, including Gemini and Gemini Notebook.

About the job
We are strategists within the Central Communications team that analyze data across external, internal, owned and operated platforms. Our team acts as a central support function within GCPA.
The Measurement and Insights team within Global Communications and Public Affairs works to bring better data analysis to Google's communication efforts. As a Digital Analytics Manager, you will primarily support the Editorial team, which develops content to share Google's top news and messages with key external audiences across our owned and operated platforms. This team acts as a central support function within GCPA, developing editorial and creative content and assets to support Google in getting our news out effectively.
In this role, you will be the driving behind content performance reporting and insights, audience growth, and new platform exploration. You'll be responsible for tracking and reporting on content performance across our owned and operated platforms, including the News from Google corporate news blog, Google's About website, corporate newsletters, podcast, and additional creative content performance across social media channels. You'll also conduct in-depth research into emerging platforms, and manage our overarching SEO/GEO growth strategy and implementation. Ultimately, you will act as the team's resident data and discovery expert, ensuring our content reaches its maximum potential by leveraging insights, search best practices, and new distribution opportunities.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $111000 - $159000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Act as the POC for content performance tracking and reporting across our owned platforms, including: News from Google corporate news blog, Google's About website, corporate podcasts, newsletters, and creative visual content.
  • Execute performance requests for internal stakeholders, managing high-volume requests during major company moments.
  • Make data-based recommendations about content formats, strategies, and platforms to try, and conduct A/B tests across our platforms to optimize content.
  • Consult with frontline teams and communnications managers on tactics, best practices. Be an avid consumer of the media, translating macro-trends and shifts into actionable recommendations for global communication strategies.
  • Manage SEO and GEO strategy and implementation for the News from Google blog and Google About site. Manage relationships with our agency, handle contracting processes, assign their roadmap of work, and efficiently route product concerns and SEO questions their way.
