Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design construction environments.
  • 5 years of experience with data center or mission-critical facilities and their electrical infrastructure.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other related fields.
  • Professional engineering license.
  • Experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems from high voltage (HV) substation to final circuits.
  • Experience in electrical systems analysis.

In this role, you will play a key part in the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for our data centers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Engineer of Record (EOR), to ensure our facilities are built to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to data center services and operations teams, defining electrical system design requirements for multiple data center projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the electrical designs at the site level, starting from the basis of design through to the issuance of construction documents for new builds, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.
  • Collaborate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to respond to site-specific engineering Requests for Information (RFI) and ensure alignment between Google's requirements and the overall design.
  • Work closely with the core engineering team to provide site-specific requirements during the development of the Basis of Design (BOD) and coordinate system-level schematics with the EOR.
  • Own and manage site-level power system issues during projects execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
