Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company that accelerates organizations' digital transformation through its cloud solutions. They are seeking a Lab Architect to design and build engaging learning experiences for Google Cloud, ensuring reliability and relevance while collaborating with various experts to enhance educational contexts.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, maintain, and deprecate labs using tools like Git, Markdown, YAML, and Google Cloud Skills Boost (GCSB) platform technologies.
• Develop creative solutions to challenges, ensuring labs remain effective and engaging learning tools.
• Partner with vendors, Google teams, and Cloud product SMEs to ensure labs adhere to best practices, style guides, and learning objectives.
• Use performance data and user feedback to refine processes, tools, and measure lab success based on learner and organizational goals.
• Identify and manage projects focused on process optimization and enhancing the learner experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
• 2 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Software Engineer, or a Technical Solutions Consultant.
• Experience with Software Engineering, writing and maintaining code (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, or Bash), SQL, Google Cloud, and Git.
• Experience provisioning and maintaining infrastructure with Terraform (infrastructure as code).
Preferred:
• Certification in Professional Cloud Architect for Google Cloud, Terraform, or other SWE/AI certifications
• Experience building or working with learning platforms, technical writing.
• Experience as a writer or learning professional (e.g., teacher, curriculum developer, instructional designer, technical writer, etc.)
