Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Network Engineer with deep expertise in GCP, AWS, Azure networking, load balancing, and firewall technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, document, and implement enterprise network solutions across a hybrid footprint. This role requires hands-on experience with PA firewalls, Cisco routing, external DNS, FIP VIP, and BigIP.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud and on-premises network technologies across Azure, OCI, AWS, and GCP, with a focus on security and VPC design.
  • Develop strategies for hybrid cloud and multi-cloud deployments, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Engineer network solutions using Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T/AVI, and F5, including complex BGP configurations.
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless network solutions for enterprise environments across multi-vendor platforms.
  • Design and optimize enterprise-grade Wi-Fi networks for coverage, performance, and security.
  • Automate configuration and management tasks using scripting languages and automation tools.
  • Manage dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) for resilient network operations.
  • Document detailed network designs and topologies for new and upgraded infrastructure.
  • Conduct site surveys and capacity planning for LAN, wireless, and SD-WAN deployments.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues involving LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and routing protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal network performance and capacity.
  • Implement QoS configurations to prioritize traffic and ensure performance of critical applications.
  • Design high-availability solutions with redundant links, dynamic routing, and failover mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards across all deployments.
  • Evaluate and deploy next-gen technologies, including cloud-managed networks.
  • Provide guidance on selecting network hardware/software (e.g., wireless controllers, routers, SD-WAN).
  • Manage external DNS and domain registration using industry-standard tools.
  • Manage F5 GSLB, BigIP, XC for complex deployments and build-on-demand requirements.
  • Deep proficiency in Palo Alto's Strata and Prisma Cloud, including PANO, firewall rules, clustering, and SD-WAN.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Expert understanding of LAN switching, VLANs, and spanning tree protocols
  • Strong expertise in OSPF and BGP for large-scale enterprise routing
  • Proficient in WAN technologies: IPSec, MPLS, SD-WAN, load balancing
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi networks and wireless technologies
  • Skilled with wireless controllers, access points, and troubleshooting tools
  • Familiar with tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center
  • Experienced in high-availability and disaster recovery network designs
  • Strong problem-solving skills in diagnosing complex network issues
  • Proficient in Python, PowerShell, Bash for scripting and automation
  • Hands-on with Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack for infrastructure automation
  • Extensive knowledge of the F5 suite (load balancing, VIPs, XC, DNS)
  • Proficient in Palo Alto firewalls, Prisma Access, and PANO
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, and Cloud certifications
  • Palo Alto certification
  • Solid understanding of F5 or comparable technologies
  • 8-10 years of IT network engineering experience across LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and routing
  • Proven ability to design and deploy secure, scalable networks across Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in hybrid cloud networking and on-prem integration
  • Experience in network performance optimization and capacity planning
  • Familiarity with network security technologies: firewalls, VPNs, NAC solutions
  • Skilled in monitoring/troubleshooting using SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.
