Overview
The Data Analyst will be responsible for transforming data from Stellar Virtual's enterprise systems into meaningful insights that support operational excellence and strategic decision-making. This position will primarily focus on cross-platform reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence, requiring the ability to translate complex data into accurate, actionable reporting that supports leaders across Salesforce, Student Information Systems (SIS), the data warehouse, and other enterprise platforms to fulfill our mission of empowering families and unleashing potential.

Essential Duties

  • Reporting and Business Intelligence
    • Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights for operational leaders and executive stakeholders.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business questions and ad hoc reporting requests into scalable reporting solutions and meaningful performance metrics.
    • Analyze trends, identify opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations that support continuous improvement across marketing, enrollment, student support, and academic operations.
  • Data Quality and Cross-Platform Analysis
    • Monitor data quality across Salesforce, Student Information Systems (SIS), the data warehouse, and other enterprise platforms by identifying inconsistencies, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Partner with the Systems Integrations Lead and business stakeholders to validate cross-platform data accuracy and ensure reporting reflects reliable, consistent information.
    • Develop and maintain standardized data definitions, metric calculations, and reporting methodologies that promote consistency and establish a trusted source of organizational data.
  • Reporting Governance and Enablement
    • Validate new and updated reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions through testing and quality assurance processes prior to deployment.
    • Develop and maintain reporting documentation, user guides, and training materials that improve organizational understanding and adoption of business intelligence tools.
    • Promote reporting best practices, data literacy, and self-service analytics by supporting stakeholders in effectively interpreting and utilizing organizational data.
  • You will play a key role in our collective success by proactively pivoting to support emerging business needs and strategic priorities directed by your manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role, preferably in a remote environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working within K–12 education, virtual education, higher education, or education technology environments, with a strong understanding of student lifecycle processes (enrollment, attendance, support ticketing).
  • Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
  • Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
  • Strong experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Salesforce reporting tools, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience analyzing data across multiple enterprise systems and translating business questions into actionable insights and reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data quality, reporting governance, metric development, and business intelligence best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret complex datasets, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Student Information Systems (SIS), data warehouses, or comparable enterprise data environments.
