Job description

Leadhub is a digital marketing agency focused on growing home service and trades businesses. We're looking for a Google Ads Specialist who wants to go deep on one platform and own it. Your day will be spent inside Google Ads managing and maintaining Search, Display, YouTube, and Local Services Ads campaigns across a portfolio of home service clients. This is a technical execution role. You won't be presenting to clients or setting high-level strategy. You'll be the person who makes sure the campaigns are built right, running right, and backed by accurate data. If you do your best work when you have clear processes, defined accounts to own, and room to get things exactly right, this role is built for that.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Maintain strong Google Ads performance across assigned client accounts, including ROAS, CPA, CTR, and conversion rate targets
  • Complete campaign builds, optimizations, and audits accurately and on schedule
  • Deliver clean, accurate performance reports to the Media team on time
  • Maintain budget pacing accuracy across all assigned accounts
  • Flag performance issues early and escalate with supporting data

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day campaign maintenance across Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, and Local Services Ads) for a portfolio of home service clients
  • Monitors campaign performance daily, identifies issues, and implements optimizations within established processes and guidelines
  • Conducts keyword research, negative keyword maintenance, audience refinement, and bid adjustments to keep campaigns performing within target ranges
  • Builds and QAs new campaigns and ad groups according to Leadhub's account structure standards. Accuracy at build is non-negotiable
  • Manages Local Services Ads profiles including verification, review management, budget pacing, and lead quality monitoring
  • Tracks and manages budget pacing across all assigned accounts, flagging variances to the Media Director before they become problems
  • Pulls and prepares performance reports for account executives to present to clients. Data needs to be clean, accurate, and ready to use
  • Partners with the creative team on ad copy and asset needs, providing Google Ads-specific guidance on specs, character limits, and requirements
  • Documents campaign changes, tests, and performance notes consistently so account history is always current and accessible
  • Monitors Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and Google Analytics configurations to ensure data integrity across accounts
  • Stays current on Google Ads platform updates, policy changes, and feature releases that affect campaign management
  • Uses Google Ads automation tools (Smart Bidding, Performance Max, automated rules) within defined parameters to support campaign efficiency. Knowing what the platform is actually doing matters more than letting automation run unchecked
  • Uses AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to support daily work including drafting ad copy variations, summarizing performance data, and identifying optimization opportunities. AI supports the work, it does not replace the judgment behind it
  • Escalates strategic questions, budget decisions, and performance anomalies to the Media Director with supporting data and a clear description of the issue

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns, not just overseeing them
  • Deep working knowledge of Google Ads across Search, Display, YouTube, and Performance Max
  • Experience managing Local Services Ads is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking setup and QA
  • Strong understanding of paid media performance metrics: ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPM, Conv. Rate, impression share
  • Experience managing monthly budgets of $10K or more across multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • High attention to detail. You catch your own mistakes before anyone else does
  • Comfortable working within established processes and account structures. You follow the system and flag it when the system needs updating
  • Able to manage a high volume of accounts without losing accuracy. You build time into your day for the work that needs to get done right
  • Actively uses AI tools in your day-to-day work and understands where they help and where they need to be checked
  • Google Ads certification required or in progress
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager or Microsoft Ads is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Swydo, TrueClicks, or ClickCease is a plus
  • Experience in home services, trades, or local service advertising is a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Health benefits and 401K
  • Flexible work environment: in-office, remote, or hybrid
  • A defined role with clear processes, real account ownership, and a team that values getting it right over moving fast
  • Room to grow your Google Ads expertise. The path from Specialist I to Specialist II to Lead is built on demonstrated platform mastery, not politics
