Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling, rendering, 3D visualization, and industrial design.
  • Experience in direct physical fabrication or leading the physical realization of technical UX projects.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization, delivering hardware products.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, alignment, and project execution.
  • Experience in 3D rendering environments such as Unreal, Unity.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end solutions for consumer or enterprise applications in telepresence or video conferencing.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the iterative production of experimental stimuli for user testing and the fabrication of mock-ups and rough functional prototypes.
  • Provide experimentally validated digital 3D CAD models and physical prototypes to communicate product goals to external partner original device manufacturer/original equipment manufacturer (ODM/OEMs).
  • Partner with UX, Product Managers, and Engineering leaders to define priorities and envision the future of remote communication and collaboration.
  • Deliver digital models, physical mock-ups, and prototypes of future Beam devices.
  • Coach designers and mentor researchers to design products that balance technical feasibility with innovation.
