Goodwin Brothers provides window treatments, projection screens, window film and other specialty items to general contractors, developers, and high-end residential owners located in the Mid-Atlantic area. We have offices in Rockville, MD and Claymont, DE.

JOB TITLE: Project Manager


JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective


The purpose of this position is to manage window treatment installation contracts including estimating, field measuring, preparing submittal packages, developing schedules of values, receiving product and managing installation of product at customer sites.


Essential Functions


  1. Perform Field Measurements
  2. Enter Field Measurements in Excel
  3. Prepare Submittals, Drawings and Product Data
  4. Create Schedules of Values
  5. Operate and use CAD for shop drawings
  6. Manage window treatment contracts within schedule and budget
  7. Order materials from vendors and negotiate favorable pricing
  8. Perform takeoffs and use Blue Beam for takeoff procedures
  9. Attend bi-weekly WIP meetings for review of ongoing project status and new jobs in pipeline


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Travel


Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.


Required Education and Experience


Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in construction management, engineering, architecture, or business or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Two years construction management experience; five years' experience with installation of window treatments (blinds, shades, drapery); reading and scaling architectural plans and or electrical schematics; proficiency in MS Office Products, especially Excel; and CAD and/or Bluebeam software.

OSHA-30 certification
