Job Type: Full Time
Professional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients while preparing for intra-operative experience. The nurse in the pre-op role coordinates the care of the patient and is the patient advocate throughout the pre-operative experience.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient.
  • Develops a plan of care using assessment data. Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs.
  • Implements nursing education assessment on assigned patients.
  • Evaluates the patient's response to nursing interventions and teaching.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
  • Florida R.N. licensure
  • Basic Life Support

Minimum Experience
  • One year med/surgical experience preferred.
