Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the purification process development group in the development and scale up for biological therapeutic treatments
  • Perform set up, maintenance, cleaning, and use of bench scale Bioreactor equipment including fermentation bioreactors and AKTA chromatography systems
  • Prepare buffers and solutions, maintain laboratory space and equipment, and support routine lab operations as required.
  • Collect and manage samples and coordinate storage, analysis, and documentation
  • Design, execute, and optimize purification processes for antibodies and bioconjugates using a variety of chromatographic and filtration techniques
  • Support the execution, and optimization of purification processes using a variety of chromatographic and filtration techniques
  • Maintain written records (electronic lab notebooks and databases) of all experimental work in accordance with Good Documentation Practices
  • Analyze, summarize, and present experimental data and maintain accurate records in electronic lab notebooks (ELNs).
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners, proactively communicating issue, discussing prioritization, and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Stay flexible and open to learning new techniques and technologies as project needs evolve.
Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • BS in Chemistry or related field
  • Working knowledge of  protein purification and characterization including  chromatographic methods, sterile technique, and filtration theory  
  • The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills, good lab safety awareness and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Applicants should be self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently, and in a collaborative environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
