Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Integrator / Test Technician to support the standup and maintenance of development and test labs for the Cybersecurity team supporting U.S. Navy Submarines. Success in this position will require a mix of both technical and social skills. This position requires attention to detail and hands-on purchase, assembly, and standup of computer equipment in both unclassified and classified labs. The candidate will be working with cutting edge tools and technologies for CI/CD. A great work ethic and motivation are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble test racks with components, servers, switches, KVMs, etc.
  • Cable interconnections within the test rack and external connections to the lab in an organized fashion.
  • Build servers with COTS and GOTS software, configure switches, etc.
  • Controlling equipment/property movement and tracking (both government and company).
  • Support new lab planning (layout, power, cooling, etc) and working with facilities to ensure all needs are met.
  • Support Bill of Material generation and lab hardware ordering including lead time tracking.
  • Support engineering if/when a hardware issue/failure is identified and working with the vendor/supplier to repair/replace/RMA failed equipment.
  • Conduct Informal and Formal Tests as required to validate all planned testable requirements
  • Communicate project/program issues to management, as necessary
  • Install and checkout IA software as well as provide test and troubleshooting support at other testing site locations.
  • Analyze current requirements documentation to develop methods and descriptions for validating requirements through test and other means
  • Assist in the development of new test engineering documentation such as test planning documents, test procedures and test reports

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to assemble and test computer equipment is required
  • High level of knowledge of Microsoft Office: Microsoft Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Understanding of networking, protocols, e.g. UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP, encryption, etc.
  • Demonstrable evidence of an analytical approach to problem solving is a *must*.
  • Must be highly motivated and excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic Linux command-line knowledge.
  • Ability to read C, C++, and Java source code helpful but not required.
  • Degree or work experience in cybersecurity is a benefit.

Education/Experience
  • 5+ years' of Submarine Combat Control Weapon System experience or
  • BS in one of the following disciplines: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technician or a related field, or
  • 5 years experience working in one of these disciplines.
  • Cybersecurity certification a plus.

This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
