Overview
Arizona Country Club is a lively and thriving family facility located in Phoenix, but very close to Old Town Scottsdale. The Club is steeped in tradition having hosted the Phoenix Open back in the 50's, 60's and 70's but has evolved with the neighborhood that it is located.
The Professional Golf Staff have blended the club's tradition with modern club practices to create a very fast paced work environment. There is little down time and plenty of opportunities to learn and participate at a club that truly does offer it all.
Known as a club where a member can "get in a game", the professional golf staff at Arizona Country Club have plenty of opportunities to organize and play in small member groups.
Consistently recognized as one of the best merchandise operations in the section, the Seasonal Assistant will have a stake in helping the team to reach lofty retail goals.
Player Development opportunities exist within the current junior program that consists of 60-80 juniors, our Operation 36 Program and weekly Men's and Ladies Clinics.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with daily general golf shop operations.
• Actively participate in the merchandise operation.
• Assist Merchandiser with receiving, preparing and displaying merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise special orders, from initial contact to in members possession.
• Promote game of golf through various golf programs.
• Perform golf transactions on point-of-sale system, Jonas.
• Create and implement tee time request.
• Check in members/guests for daily play.
• Manage member handicaps through GHIN system.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support the Head Golf Professional and assist in the pro shop as necessary.
• Responsible for opening/closing duties of golf shop.
• Adhere to, enforce and implement golf rules, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills and proper phone etiquette.
• Assist with golf tournaments to include set up, rules, and scoring.
• Support country club as needed.
• Special projects as assigned by management.
Education Required
EDUCATION: High-school graduate or GED equivalent required. College or equivalent on-the-job training preferred. PGA level 1 completed or actively working towards completion required.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: 1-2 years experience in a country club setting or high-end daily fee facility preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Jonas and Golf Genius or knowledge of POS and Tournament software preferred.
SKILLS: Able to interact successfully with a variety of members/guests in person/phone in order to fulfill the member experience. Excellent oral communication skills as well as understanding written communication in work related documents. Able to adapt to new technology.
PERSONALITY/OTHER: Must be confident of skills; must have the willingness to adjust to and conform to varying schedules; have excellent communication skills; and be able to get along well with others. Must be friendly and professional.
