Facilities Manager (Luxury Hospitality)

Reports To: General Manager / COO

Department: Facilities & Property Operations

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000

Location: Scottsdale, AZ Area



Position Summary

A premier, high-end private country club in the greater Scottsdale, AZ area is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Facilities Manager. This role provides strategic oversight, maintenance, safety, and operational integrity for all upscale club buildings, luxury dining venues, fitness facilities, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings a seasoned hospitality background to ensure the club campus operates at a premium tier of service and aesthetic standard. You will lead a dedicated maintenance team, manage multi-million dollar capital improvement projects, and build strategic vendor relationships in a high-touch private club environment.



Key Qualifications & Requirements


Experience & Education

  • Hospitality Background: 5+ years of facilities or property management experience; private club, luxury resort, or upscale hospitality environment is strongly preferred.
  • Project Track Record: Demonstrated experience managing major capital improvement projects, contractor negotiations, and vendor service agreements.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.


Technical Skills & Certifications

  • System Operations: Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, complex electrical distribution, plumbing/water systems, and building automation.
  • Facility Software: Direct experience utilizing preventive maintenance management software (CMMS preferred).
  • Preferred Credentials: Certified Facility Manager (CFM), OSHA Certification, EPA Refrigerant Certification, or CPR/First Aid certifications are highly valued.


Financial & Physical Competencies

  • Budget Oversight: Strong financial accumen to develop operational budgets, forecast long-term capital expenditures (CapEx), and control utility costs.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders, and safely access tight mechanical spaces.
  • Desert Adaptability: Ability to comfortably manage infrastructure across both indoor spaces and outdoor desert environments in varying weather conditions.



Core Responsibilities

  • Facilities Operations: Oversee the daily operation of all club facilities, plant systems, and asset inventories while executing a strict preventive maintenance discipline.
  • Capital Project Management: Coordinate contractors, architects, and inspectors to ensure luxury renovation projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to premium standards.
  • Vendor & Budget Oversight: Source and negotiate service contracts, enforce service-level agreements, and manage the department operating budget to maximize financial efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain absolute compliance with local, state, federal, OSHA, and environmental health code standards, managing fire life-safety inspections and certifications.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise the internal maintenance staff while promoting a culture of high accountability, technical training, and hospitality.
  • Department Collaboration: Partner closely with Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, and Events teams to ensure building readiness, climate control, and elite aesthetic standards match the club's brand.
