Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for a Catering Sales and Events Coordinator. Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast's most vibrant, exciting areas.
The Catering Sales and Events Coordinator to join our team will be responsible for driving catering sales, coordinating private events, and ensuring seamless execution from initial inquiry through event completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a hospitality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Relations
  • Respond promptly to catering and event inquiries from members and guests
  • Conduct club tours and actively promote catering services and event spaces
  • Develop proposals, contracts, and event orders tailored to client needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, clients, and vendors
  • Actively seek opportunities to increase catering revenue and event bookings

Event Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process
  • Coordinate all event details including menu selection, room setup, timelines, and special requests
  • Communicate clearly with culinary, service, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
  • Oversee events as needed to ensure quality and client satisfaction
  • Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate documentation

Administrative & Organizational
  • Maintain accurate event records, contracts, and billing information
  • Assist with forecasting, reporting, and tracking catering sales performance
  • Ensure all event details are communicated effectively across departments

Qualifications
  • Previous catering sales, event coordination, hospitality, or country club experience preferred
