Job description

The Group Golf Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the proactive sale of group golf outings, tournaments, and associated resort experiences within designated markets. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing accounts to maximize long-term revenue potential. Working closely with the Director of Golf Sales, this individual plays a key role in achieving annual revenue targets across golf, banquet, and resort programming, while ensuring a seamless client experience from initial inquiry through event execution.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of group golf business, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to translate client needs into tailored, revenue-generating programs.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Sales & Market Development

  • Actively solicit and secure group golf business across assigned territories and key market segments
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through research, outreach, referrals, and industry networking
  • Conduct sales presentations, client meetings, and property site inspections to convert prospects into confirmed business
  • Represent Crystal Springs Resort at trade shows, golf industry events, and sales missions as required
  • Negotiate contracts in alignment with revenue goals, yield strategy, and resort standards

Revenue Strategy & Business Collaboration

  • Partner with the Director of Golf Sales to develop competitive pricing strategies and customized proposals
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive set activity, and seasonal booking patterns to inform sales strategy
  • Support targeted marketing initiatives and campaigns designed to drive group golf demand

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, association, and leisure group golf clients
  • Ensure a consultative sales approach that aligns each program with client objectives and resort capabilities
  • Conduct and host site visits, familiarization tours, and on-property experiences to enhance conversion and loyalty
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales process to ensure a high-touch client experience

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with golf operations, banquet and catering teams, and resort leadership to ensure seamless execution of all group golf events
  • Communicate detailed client requirements clearly and accurately to internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
  • Support post-event follow-up to strengthen relationships and encourage repeat business

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activity, pipeline status, and client interactions within CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Provide regular updates on production, pipeline, and booking pace to leadership
  • Assist in forecasting, reporting, and revenue tracking as requested
  • Ensure disciplined use of CRM tools to support transparency, accountability, and performance tracking

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, golf, or group sales strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
