Job description

Pro Shop Attendant - Golf Course

The purpose of this seasonal part-time position is to assist in the management of the Ruth Park Golf Course by overseeing the daily operations of the golf pro shop activities. The Pro Shop Attendant is expected to utilize significant judgment to ensure an enjoyable golfing experience for a high volume daily municipal golf course. Works under the supervision of the Golf Shop Supervisor and Golf Manager, and indirectly to the Deputy Director of Recreation Services.


Essential Functions

  • Opening and/or closing Golf Shop and preparing for daily operations, which may include counting money/receipts, closing register and preparing daily deposits.
  • Ensures the maintenance of a high-quality customer experience, including supervising tee time management, fee collection, preparation of golf carts, and customer interaction.
  • Assist in maintaining proper pace of play.
  • Assist in the promotion and usage of the entire facility.
  • Enforce all golf course directives, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs operations associated with concessions/beer sales.
  • Assist with golf tournaments and leagues.
  • Assists in the oversight of planning and placing restrictions on golf-cart use for grounds maintenance purposes.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • Sales and customer service experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Submission of Hep A vaccination required prior to start date for food service.

Pay Grade

  • This position is part-time with an hourly rate of $15.50
