Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Greet all pro shop guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Manage pro shop counter, including answering phones and handling messages.
  • Control guest play, including tee times, green fees, driving range and cart billing, pairing players into groups and monitoring pace of play.
  • Sell pro shop merchandise, and maintain a working knowledge of in-stock inventory.
  • Promote Dacotah Ridge Golf Club and Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel as appropriate.
  • Keep pro shop clean and organized at all times, including folding and shelving merchandise.
  • Receive, price and stock merchandise.
  • Assist with tournament preparation and administration.
  • Monitor weather conditions, and have a complete understanding of the Clubs weather warning system.
  • Know and enforce all pro shop rules, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with outside service operations as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Golf course and/or retail sales experience helpful.
  • Must meet departmental golf cart operation policy.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of golf and golf operations.
  • Knowledge of golf equipment and apparel.
  • Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
  • Able to work nights and weekends.
UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Mobility throughout the facility.
  • Able to bend and stoop repeatedly.
  • Able to walk extensively.
