About this Position
The seasonal Pro Shop Clerk performs clerical work, maintains the Pro Shop, assists with activities at the course, and completes other various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations at KickingBird Golf and the Pro Shop.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
  • Golf related work experience (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls, make tee time reservations, and assign golf carts
  • Properly charge green fees, cart fees, range fees, and all other golf course related fees (including pro shop merchandise)
  • Open, close, and balance the cash drawer
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop, including prompting activities at the course
  • Receive merchandise and maintain merchandise displays, proper inventory levels, and folding/presentation of merchandise
  • Record accurate purchase orders and information when processing custom orders for customers
  • Assist in physical inventory
  • Understand, comply with, and enforce all City of Edmond and KickingBird Golf policies and procedures
  • Assist with USGA GHIN Handicap score entry and maintenance
  • Help keep all areas clean and organized at all times, including vacuuming the Pro Shop, restrooms, hallways, and offices
  • Attend staff meetings and safety training as assigned
  • Accomplish unforeseen tasks related to assigned duties, including running errands or assisting others

Necessary Skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn or prior knowledge of golf operations
  • Ability to learn or prior knowledge of point-of-sale software, tournament software, and related equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, be safety conscious, and present yourself in a professional manner
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of the position (working from home is not an option for this position)
