Job Summary 
The Golf Shop Supervisor is responsible for promoting the game of golf at the club and ensuring the smooth operation of the golf shop on a daily basis. This position is responsible for overseeing golf shop operations, including managing outside services, maintaining inventory control, and driving merchandising efforts. The Supervisor will work closely with the Golf Operations team to curate a diverse and high-quality selection of merchandise that meets the needs and preferences of members and guests. This role also ensures the golf shop remains well-organized, visually appealing, and fully functional to enhance the overall member and guest experience. This position is designated for clubs that do not have a Golf Shop Manager but may exist alongside a Head Golf Professional. 
Reporting Structure 
    •     Reports directly to the Director of Retail 
Day to Day
•    Respond to member/guest inquiries, assist with tee time bookings both in person and over the phone, maintaining a friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor at all times, even under pressure. 
•    Manage the tee sheet, including walk-ups and pairings, and ensure accurate guest fee collection in line with the daily rate. 
•    Maintain inventory control by checking in merchandise according to Invited procedures. Organize and restock merchandise in display and storage areas, ensuring inventory levels of frequently stocked items (e.g., shirts, socks, gloves, hats, balls). Follow up on special orders and notify customers upon receipt of their items. 
•    Process merchandise returns and issue appropriate credits to customers. 
•    Oversee the outside golf operations and staff, ensuring proper performance and adherence to daily procedures and policies for the staging area, range, golf cart storage, and other areas. 
•    Manage both inside and outside golf operations, ensuring all staff adhere to established procedures and policies for optimal service delivery. 
•    Promote the game of golf and the club’s offerings while maintaining professionalism and a high level of service at all times. 
•    Perform closing duties, ensuring all business functions are completed according to guidelines and procedures. Provide necessary training to staff to ensure all operational standards are met. 
•    Ensure all daily assignments are completed in their designated areas, including maintaining orderly and organized workspaces, stocking the golf shop, and keeping the entry area neat and presentable. 
•    Lead the golf operations staff in delivering efficient, friendly service, answering calls promptly, accurately processing charges, and checking in all golfers prior to play. Ensure adherence to proper cash handling procedures and operational standards. 
•    Provide assistance to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators as needed to support operations and event coordination.

•    Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management. 
•    Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions. 
•    Represent the company's management team by supporting and enforcing policies while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity. 
•    Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff. 
•    Promote and follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same. 
•    Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role. 
•    Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations. 
•    Support the overall efficiency of the team by collaborating and contributing to the club’s goals. 
About You
Required 
•    A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
•    A minimum of 2 years of golf operations experience, with basic knowledge of customer service, rules, and equipment. 
Preferred 
•    Proven ability to handle sensitive company and employee information with the utmost confidentiality. 
•    Consistently demonstrates ethical behavior and adherence to company policies. 
•    Maintains high standards of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail in all work responsibilities. 
Physical Requirements 
•    Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity. 
•    Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing. 
Primary Tools/Equipment 
•    Golf Clubs & Bag 40 - 50 lbs. 
•    Merchandise 5 - 50 lbs. 
•    Computer 
•    Keyboard 
•    Pro Shop supplies/equipment 
Work Schedule 
•    Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule. 
•    Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines. 
•    Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
