Summary:

Harris Golf Cars is looking for a dependable and motivated Service Technician to join our Grimes team. This position is a combination of shop support, golf car deliveries, detailing, and basic mechanical assistance. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, is mechanically inclined, and is willing to help wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver golf cars to customers and between company locations using a company truck and trailer.
  • Wash, detail, and prepare golf cars for delivery or customer pickup.
  • Assist service technicians with repairs, accessory installations, and general shop tasks.
  • Load and unload golf cars safely.
  • Help organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment.
  • Complete basic maintenance and inspections on golf cars.
  • Accurately follow and complete daily work assignments provided by the Operations Manager/ Service Manager.
  • Support multiple departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to tow a trailer or willingness to learn.
  • Mechanical aptitude; automotive, small engine, or golf car experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 85 lbs.
  • Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee will frequently use their hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 85 lbs. The employee will regularly load and unload golf cars and may drive trucks and trailers in various weather conditions.

    Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

    Reports To: Sales & Operations Manager

    Expected Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (may change seasonally)

    Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, plus $500 bonus at 6 months and 1 year (less applicable taxes)

    Benefits: Health insurance with HSA match, 401(k), short/long-term disability, $15,000 company-paid life insurance, and paid time off.
