Job description

Student Employment Opportunity: Student Union Monitor
**This position is for current Palmer College of Chiropractic students only.
Function:
The Student Union Monitor is responsible for monitoring all video gaming, arcades, and other gaming machines, and spaces in the Student Union.
Organizational Relationship:
Responsible to the Student Activities Coordinator in the Student Services Department for successful performance of assigned duties.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor checking in and out of all video console station equipment (controllers), and other equipment
  • Operate and assist guests with any amenities of the Student Union
  • Monitor checkout of Golf Simulator and unlock the door for the occupant
  • Be able to check the calendar and book Golf Simulator reservations
  • Submit HelpDesk tickets to IT if any technology or TVs are down
  • Making and distributing popcorn and cleaning the machine on the appropriate scheduled day/time
  • Responsible for sanitizing all equipment pieces on a regular basis (this included all arcade games, controllers, consoles, shuffleboard, and pool table equipment
  • Equipment will not be issued until an ID is given at the desk
  • Enforcement of all Student Union rules, policies and procedures
  • Interact with members in a respectful and professional fashion
  • Assisting Student Services with events that take place in Student Union
  • Monitors are responsible for working all scheduled shifts and if unable to, arrangements and communication must be provided at least 24-48 hours prior
  • Individuals must follow the appropriate procedure for when they request to miss a scheduled shift
  • Clock in and out using SubItUp, and log all hours worked in Paycom
  • Other duties as assigned
