HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
We own and operate one of the largest fleets of yellow iron in the state and we've got the work to keep you busy. If you have the passion to work on scrapers, dozers, motor graders and excavators, and want to keep working on them, this is the spot for you.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ Years Experience repairing CAT, John Deere, or other manufactured heavy equipment
  • An acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT Med Card
  • Basic mechanic experience utilizing hand tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.) to complete repairs
  • Ability to lift, load, and unload up to 50 lbs
  • Follow safety precautions while repairing and diagnosing machines
  • Ability to walk, sit, squat, stand, or bend for extended periods
  • Ability to enter and exit equipment using 3 points of contact
  • Knowledge of completing inspection logs, electronic driver logs, and DOT compliance
  • Experience with welding and grinding machines
