Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Part-time On Course Beverage Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to golfers and guests while supporting sales and enhancing the overall guest experience on the golf course. This position is responsible for operating the beverage cart and/or halfway house concession stand, promoting food and beverage offerings, maintaining inventory controls, handling cash and sales transactions, and ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned work areas. The ideal candidate is energetic, engaging, sales-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding hospitality service.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee's position.
Guest Service
  • Promote and upsell food, beverage, snack, and alcohol offerings to enhance the guest experience and support individual sales goals
  • Provide exceptional customer service to golfers, members, guests, and tournament participants.
  • Maintain a friendly, engaging, and professional presence while interacting with guests on the golf course and at the halfway house.
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve routine guest concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, pricing, promotions, and daily specials.

Sales and Revenue Generation
  • Actively promote and sell food, beverages, snacks, and other offerings to golfing guests on the golf course or visitors to the half-way house.
  • Support individual sales goals through guest engagement, product knowledge, and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maximize Sales opportunities while maintaining a high level of guest service and professionalism.
  • Promote featured items, specials, tournaments, and Adobe Bar & Grille events to guests when applicable.

Beverage Cart and Halfway House Operations
  • Operate the beverage cart safely and responsibly throughout the golf courses.
  • Prepare food and beverage items for guests at the halfway house concession stand.
  • Assist with stocking, loading, unloading, organizing, inventorying, and replenishing food, beverages, snacks, ice, and supplies.
  • Ensure beverage cart and halfway house are properly set up and operational prior to service periods.
  • Refuel and maintain cleanliness of the beverage cart and notify management of maintenance concerns as needed.
  • Assist with tournament, outing, and special event operations as assigned.

Inventory, Cash Handling & Compliance
  • Daily accounting for inventory, including loading and unloading product into and out of beverage carts and beverage storage areas.
  • Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Financially accountable for cash banks, sales transactions, reconciliations, and balancing assigned cash drawers.
  • Follow inventory control procedures and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged product to management.
  • Understand, follow, and comply with liquor laws, alcohol service regulations, food safety requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.

Cleaning & Operational Standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the beverage cart, halfway house, beverage storage areas, and other assigned work areas in accordance with company standards and applicable Arizona Department of Health Services food safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Complete assigned opening duties, side work, closing duties, and cleaning responsibilities according to established procedures.
  • Ensure all food, beverage, and operational areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Other
  • Participates in meetings and training.
  • Cross-trains in other restaurant areas, as needed.
  • Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform and grooming standards.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience Required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Previous customer service, restaurant, hospitality, concession, beverage cart, or food and beverage experience required.
  • Previous cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) experience required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required:
  • Position utilizes golf beverage carts; thus, must have a valid driver's license including successful passing of MVR.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to alcohol service responsibilities and operation of a golf cart.
  • Must have AZ Food Handler Certification.
  • Must have a Title 4 AZ Liquor Certification.

Other
Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. Seeks approval before overtime is incurred. At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
Part-Time Position:
  • Busy Season: You are expected to be available to work the hours required for the shift/position. We require a minimum of 3 shifts per work week. Generally speaking, we assign shifts based upon achieving individual sales goals and availability. Less than 30 hours per week.
  • Non-Peak Season: A minimum of 1 shift per pay period is required; however, scheduling is based on business needs and operational demands, and additional shifts may be assigned as needed.
  • You are expected to be reliable and dependable, meeting attendance requirements including requesting time off in advance.

Work Environment
This position primarily works outdoors on the golf course and may occasionally work indoors. The position regularly requires exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, and other outdoor environmental conditions. Work may require exposure to temperatures sufficiently high to cause bodily discomfort. The noise level is usually moderate but may increase during tournaments, outings, or busy operational periods. Schedules vary and include weekends, holidays, etc. as determined by business needs.
