As a Tea Server at The Pfister Hotel, you will provide attentive and elegant service to guests enjoying our renowned Afternoon Tea experience. You will guide guests through tea selections, deliver courses with care, and ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience that reflects The Pfister's iconic legacy.
Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel has been a Milwaukee icon for nearly 130 years. Recognized for its grand tradition of gracious service and timeless style, The Pfister has proudly held the AAA Four Diamond designation for 46 consecutive years-one of only 11 properties in North America to do so since the program's inception in 1976.
What You'll Be Doing:
Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival to Afternoon Tea service.
Present and describe a variety of teas, assisting guests in their selections.
Prepare and serve teas with precision, ensuring correct presentation and accompaniments.
Deliver multi-course Afternoon Tea service, including savories, scones, and pastries, in an elegant and timely manner.
Maintain complete knowledge of tea offerings, menu items, and proper service etiquette.
Assist with table setup prior to service, including linens, silverware, teapots, cups, and floral accents.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment.
Retrieve and clear trays and reset tables promptly between guests.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and proactive solutions.
Support team members and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
Prior experience as a food or beverage server, cocktail server, or host preferred.
Knowledge of tea varieties and proper service techniques is strongly desired.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to carry trays and teapots, and to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending and reaching.
Professional demeanor and service-focused attitude.
Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment.
